THE
SUNRISE EXPRESS

The Sunrise Express is Japan's last remaining sleeper train. The Sunrise Express consists of two distinct routes: the Sunrise Seto and the Sunrise Izumo. The Sunrise Seto connects the cities of Tokyo and Yokohama with Takamatsu on the island of Shikoku. Meanwhile, the Sunrise Izumo connects the Tokyo Metropolis with destinations such as Yonago and Izumo-shi. The Sunrise Seto and the Sunrise Izumo run coupled together between Tokyo and Okayama, making stops at major cities such as Himeji and Osaka along the way.

Our Services

Securing tickets for the Sunrise Express is no easy feat. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. exactly one month before the departure date of the train. It is not uncommon for all tickets to be sold out within minutes. This means foreign tourists have virtually no shot at ever taking the Sunrise Express - until now. We are the only company that can secure these coveted tickets for you so that you can check off the Sunrise Express off of your bucket list!

NOTE: TO GUARANTEE A TICKET, RESERVATIONS SHOULD BE MADE WELL OVER A MONTH IN ADVANCE.

Nobi-Nobi Seat on the Sunrise Seto & the Sunrise Izumo

Nobi-Nobi Seat

All prices listed are in USD.

Please note that prices are subject to change, however, the general rule of thumb is a discount will be given to those purchasing multiple tickets (3+).

Additionally, please note that the prices for the private rooms are all-inclusive. This means a basic fare ticket will be included in your order. A basic fare ticket is required to board any train on the JR system. You can choose to opt out of this if you wish, however, you'll have to buy your own basic fare ticket.

Finally, please note that if paying in JPY, the exchange rate used is of the date when the reservation form was submitted.

Delivery Process

The tickets can be mailed internationally or delivered in-person if you are in the Greater Tokyo Area. Payment can be completed via bank transfer for mailed tickets or by cash for in-person delivery.

Please note that, according to Japan Post, it can take up to two weeks for tickets to arrive overseas. Please provide ample time if you wish for your tickets to be sent.
